5 Phrases





"That guy is crazy!!!"
"Better leave him a good tip."
"Im leaving and never coming back."
"Some people will never learn."
"Im not sure why?" "Do you?"


Scene:  Two couples are having dinner and drinks at a bar/grill.  The couples begin to have converstation.  One converstation leads to another and one of the couples begin to argue.  The second couple begin to argue because the boyfriend never leaves the waiters/waitresses good tips.  One thing leads to another and the boyfreind leaves  Its a dark scene with little light.  Regular restaurant ambiance is going on.


1st BF:  So how have you guys been?  Anything new in life?
2nd BF:  No same old same old.  Work, eat, argue with her, no action, then sleep.  ( begins to grin a little)
2nd GF:  Oh shut up.  Maybe you should learn to be more of a gentlemen!! (angry expression)
1st GF:  ok ok now calm down the both of you lets just ejoy the moment.  Do either of you ever try to not to embarass each other when your in public?
2nd GF:  Im not sure why?  Do you?
1st GF:  Do I what?
2nd GF:  Always ask dumb questions 

                                  Foward to end of scene:

2nd GF:  Better leave him a good tip
2nd  BF:  Good tip for what?  Were you attracted to him or something?  Im leaving and never coming back!!!  (angry look)
2nd GF talking to 1st Gf:   That guy is crazy!!! Some people will never learn.

  1. You did not need to use all the phrases in your script. Instead of writing out the whole scene at the head. Intersperse the descriptions of the action in between the dialogue. A feisty exchange between friends and lovers is a good premise for a story and some snappy dialogue. You need to work out the connections and write a middle, not just a beginning and end.
